Myrtle Opens Her Heart

I'm a HUGE motorsport fan, I love going to the races, hearing the sounds, smelling the smells and meeting new people. I was very sad when I started learning about the 'dark side' of motorsport...the crashes and injuries... I didn't understand at first how awful a crash can be, even if the driver doesn't have visible injuries.

I'm new to motorsport, and thought it was just about the atmosphere, excitement, speed and stuff like that. I didn't understand about the other side till lately. I've been thinking a lot about it now... and I had a few chats with my Auntys Sue & Andy, and my cuz Gertrude Gruntmonkey and other people who know a lot more than I do.

And this is what I've decided to do...I want to help raise money, so that Girls Torque has extra funds available especially for members, if something bad happens at the track.

So I've been having fun with ideas for shirts and things (much more fun than watching TV)... and have a few designs already on the go! I'm giving them to an online shop to sell, so that they will give Girls Torque a bit from each sale (I think it's called a percentage).... which i'm gonna look after in my special moneybox account for when it's needed.
